Most people
join a union because they want protection at work - help with pay
and conditions of service, legal or health and safety advice or
representation in case things go wrong at work.
On your own
you cannot defend yourself from job insecurity or stress, or improve
your pay and conditions. Whether you are part-time or full-time,
have managerial responsibilities or just started work, UNISON Manchester
is the acknowledged union to represent and further your interests.
It is the union that employers listen to and the union which listens
to you.
UNISON is the
trade union for public sector workers that provides the strength,
expertise and support for you when you need help. UNISON negotiates
on pay and working conditions at every level - local, regional and
national. We can help in:
-
Service
conditions advice including, for example, advice on pay, pensions,
leave, sick pay, etc
-
Promoting
the interests of groups of members in departmental restructures
and regrading claims

Excellent
legal services at work and in the home.
-

and training advice and courses leading to vocational and professional
qualifications.

by our rulebook.
