The Walk for Women organised by Manchester City Council will be back again this International Women’s Day 2022, with a walk on Sunday 6 March 2022.

Anyone wishing to join should meet outside Castlefield Urban Heritage Park on Liverpool Road at 12.30pm and then walk together to Cathedral Gardens.

The Walk for Women event is totally free and anyone can take part.

This event is an opportunity to come together with family and friends, colleagues and strangers to share our passion for equality and creating opportunities for Manchester women.

The organisers encourage you to bring along fun, safe and noisy instruments to bang and clang, or make the most of your voice and join in with the chants.

Visit www.manchester.gov.uk/iwd to find out more about the walk and other events taking place across Manchester on International Women’s Day.

If you’d like to register your group to have an official place in the walk, please fill out the form on Manchester Council’s website: www.manchester.gov.uk/forms/form/1543/en/register_to_join_the_walk_for_women.
