Save the Date! Black History Event: Recognise or Demoralise?

As part of Black History Month this year, UNISON Manchester is hosting a special event to commemorate Black History, entitled Recognise or Demoralise?

The event is being held at Manchester Central Library, St Peter’s Square on Wednesday 6 October 2021 and it will run from 2:00pm – 5:00pm.

Join us for an afternoon of celebration, history, inspiration, culture, recognition and engagement. All our welcome and you don’t have to be a union member to attend.

There will be great speakers and performances including poetry, a play about the Black boxer Len Johnson and dance by Mbaise Women’s Group. There will also be African drumming and refreshments from 1.15pm. The nearest tram stop to the venue is at St Peter’s Square.

Note there is limited capacity at the venue so booking in advance is essential.
