I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has helped to deliver such a successful day of strike action.
To all those members who took action today, to the picketers who were at their workplaces so early and to everyone who took part in all the organisation beforehand.
I also want to thank everyone for all they have done in recruiting their friends and colleagues. Thanks to the efforts of UNISON members across the council we had over 100 new members striking with us.
I’m really proud of what we have achieved today and proud to be your Branch Secretary.
