Branch Annual General Meeting 2022

Manchester Branch has taken the decision to hold our Annual General Meeting both physically and virtually in 2022. This is an important event for the branch and all members are strongly encouraged to attend so they can participate in the democratic, decision-making process which will set branch policy for the coming year.

The final agenda for this meeting is included in the latest issue of the branch magazine, the Mancunion, and a paper copy has been posted out to every member in time for our AGM. We have also sent out an electronic version of the magazine to all members with an email address recorded, along with the previous issue which includes the branch officers’ annual report.

UNISON Manchester Branch Secretary, Carl Greatbatch, has recorded the following short invitation video for our branch AGM this year.

To improve participation at this meeting we are running an aggregate AGM which will provide three opportunities for members to attend as follows:

Physical Meeting

  • Lunchtime Session – Starting at 12:30pm on Tuesday 29 March 2022

Virtual Meetings

  • Evening Session – Starting at 5:30pm on Tuesday 29 March 2022
  • Lunchtime Session – Starting at 12:30pm on Wednesday 30 March 2022

For voting purposes please ensure that you only attend ONE of these meetings.

Important Note

If you plan to attend the physical meeting at 12:30pm on Tuesday 29 March 2022 then simply turn up on the day and your details will be recorded at the registration desk outside the meeting venue in the Friends Meeting House.

If you plan to attend one of the virtual meetings being held at 5:30pm on Tuesday 29 March 2022 and 12:30pm on Wednesday 30 March 2022 then you will need to register for a ticket first via our Eventbrite page: unisonmanchester.eventbrite.co.uk.

Both of our virtual meetings will be held online via Microsoft Teams and in order to receive a meeting link you must first register your details. As part of the registration process you will be asked to provide your name, contact email address and membership number if known. The email address is required so we can send you a meeting link closer to the event date. Further details about the joining process will be included in your order confirmation email.

We hope you are able to attend our branch AGM and if you have any questions please contact the office on 0161 254 7500, or send an email to unison@manchester.gov.uk.
