Join us for Schools Re-opening: Risks and Challenges

Join us at UNISON’s first trial national webinar session for school activists, branches and organising staff – at 4pm this Friday evening 5th June.

School support staff are working in difficult and challenging times as schools re-open in England at a time of uncertainty. To help support UNISON’s members, organisers and activists you are invited to join Friday afternoon’s webinar session “School re-opening: Risks and Challenges”.

This hour long session will be introduced by Christina McAnea, UNISON’s Assistant General Secretary Pam Howard, Chair of UNISON’s School Sector Committee, will look at the work of UNISON’s national committee, branches and members’ concerns. The Panel will include Robert Baughan, UNISON’s Head of health and safety who will discuss the importance of Risk Assessments in a school setting. It will be chaired by Jon Richards, National Secretary for Education and Local Government.

Whilst this is focussed on the experiences in England where wider opening is already beginning – colleagues from across the UK are welcome to drop in. We will also record it with a view to sharing it more widely if it goes well.
