Protect Our Pensions LGPS Campaigns Update

Attached to this post you will find a PowerPoint presentation on the agreed principles and timetable for negotiations over the LGPS. Please take the time to read through this presentation as it explains the details of what is included in the agreement.

During the negotiations we will be maintaining a strong campaigning stance, putting pressure on MP’s, employers and councillors to ensure that the outcomes of the negotiations are favourable to our members.

In the meantime, it is important to note that we are still in dispute with the government over their proposals and that the industrial action ballot results are still ‘live’.

If the negotiations fail to deliver an acceptable outcome to members, then we will consider further action.

Members will be fully consulted at each key stage of the negotiations and there will also be a UNISON lay member representative involved in the talks.
