Our Branch Executive Committee has met to decide who we should nominate for General Secretary.
During the discussion members expressed the need for change within our union and a desire to see a lay member as General Secretary.
With that in mind, the committee agreed with the recommendation of the Branch Officers and voted overwhelmingly to nominate John Burgess.
